Philip Thiemann Senior Expert at Institute of Energy bei MOIT/GIZ Energy Support Programme

Philip Thiemann spent the last two years in Vietnam as a GiZ Senior Advisor for Renewable Energy at the Institute of Energy (IoE) - a branch of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT). The IoE is the leading planing institution and an established Think Tank of/in the Vietnamese Energy Sector and furthermore overtakes technical and permitting work packages for the private sector. Prior Philip was the Head of Wind Power at badenova AG, a cutting edge utility, based in southern Germany. In 2007 he joined Nordex SE as a Senior Manager in various positions. Through its international track record Philip Thiemann covers the complete value chain of wind power plants, starting from green field, going through the project development and realization phase and ending up with the operational phase. Furthermore he won experience with solar power projects as well as the Power to Gas technology (PtG). Philip Thiemann holds a degree in industrial engineering from the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg. With over 15 years of experience in the RE sector Philip currently works as an independent consultant for various clients.
